Mateus Asato has this really unique tone that is very touch sensitive with an edge of breakup clean-ish tone and can go to a rock tone that sustains, but is articulate. Recently, I bought the new Neural Archetype Mateus Asato plugin and was inspired to create a preset for my Fractal around those tones. My preset features the same amps used in the plugin as well as similar effects. After A and B’ing between the plugin and preset I can hardly tell the difference. I hope you enjoy the preset!

*Please note this preset is compatible with the Fractal FM3, FM9, and AXE III! Recently, FM3 Edit 1.6.6 has been having issues importing presets. Please try to rollback to 1.6.5 as it’s proven to load my presets properly!

Pretty happy with this preset as I was looking for something close to the Neural plugin. The only tip I would pass along is that if you have the Asato signature guitar or have his Suhr pickups installed, you may need to dial back your scene output levels since those pickups are hotter than your typical strat pickups.
This is pretty darn accurate!
If you get understand that this is a MODELER not the real thing…

Fm3 user… Not 100% happy… also with the Mayer tones… search a longe time for philip sayce…. But it seems that is not possible with the fm3
